In recent adventures through their wonderful and weird archive the 56a infoshop crew dug out this Fareshares newsletter from October 1991. It’s a brilliant read and very interesting to get an insight into what the co-operative was like in the early days (been going since 1988!) and think about how that compares to the present. Of course various things have changed and evolved, but actually a lot isn’t all that different today – even down to what we stock on the shelves – which perhaps is why Fareshares lives on as.
